Is Brooks Koepka excited about his match with Bryson DeChambeau?

Of course, Brooks was asked about his thoughts ahead of meeting his arch-nemesis in a high-stakes encounter. However, his response did not do justice to the intensity at ‘The Match.’

“I mean I think we’re excited,” Koepka said. “So it’s going to be good, you’ll see it, what, the day after Thanksgiving”. Koepka was also asked about when the conversations start. The four-time major winner didn’t know, asking reporters to question DeChambeau about it.

Finally, having put their feud to rest, this match might just reignite their rivalry. Their feud went on for months, getting to a point where fans got involved.

However, the two of them worked together with Ryder Cup’s Team USA. They helped the team secure the historic 19-9 win last month. They even shared a hug. Interestingly, DeChambeau was the one who hinted at ‘The Match.’

“I think there may be something fun coming up here moving forward, but won’t speak too much more on that,” DeChambeau said.

This is DeChambeau’s second time at the event. He first played with Aaron Rodgers, against Mickelson and Tom Brady.

The first time ‘The Match’ was played was in 2018, where Phil Mickelson took on Tiger Woods. Both celebrities have also been looked at as rivals. Since 2018, they have raised around $30 million for all the charities they have supported.

Koepka will be making his debut in The Match. However, even though he will be participating for the time this year, Koepka has contributed in other ways before. Last year, he donated $100,000 for COVID-19 relief. This was for the ‘Champions for Charity’ edition.
