The PGA Tour saw a grand conclusion to the 2021 Memorial Tournament on Sunday. But there’s no time to relax as there is yet another tournament this week. In fact, the one-off Palmetto Championship at Congaree is all set to make its debut on the tour, and there are quite a few big names participating this year, including World No. 1 Dustin Johnson.
The Palmetto Championship is replacing the RBC Canadian Open which will be missing the calendar for the second straight year. Moreover, the Palmetto Championship will be the third tournament to be played at South Carolina this year, following the RBC Heritage and the PGA Championship.
The 2021 Palmetto Championship will be played at the Congaree Golf Club. The Tom Fazio design came into existence in 2018 and has gained a good reputation since then. The course fits perfectly well with the surroundings, and the par-71 layout will pose a major challenge to the golfers.
