Tiger Woods is currently getting all the attention from the media at the 2021 Hero World Challenge. He has been making the headlines since the day he made his appearance at the event. However, during the press conference on Tuesday, Tiger clarified he is still far away from making a comeback on the Tour.
Meanwhile, Woods has been practicing on the range regularly. He now can hit every club from his bag, including the driver. However, Tiger says he still doesn’t get enough power and distance behind the ball. And after round three, Woods was in the broadcast room for a while, where he answered a few questions and gave his opinion about Collin Morikawa.

Tiger Woods makes a surprising assessment of Collin Morikawa
Woods, after round three, made it to the broadcast team and praised Collin Morikawa for his unreal golfing skills. He said, “The 24-year-old (Morikawa) won two major championships. And he doesn’t really do anything wrong. He doesn’t really have wild misses. He’s super, super consistent, unbelievable iron player.”
Meanwhile, Collin currently leads the event with a score of -18. Moreover, he has a five-shot lead going into the final day and is all set to take home the Hero World Challenge trophy. Furthermore, with this win, Morikawa will overtake Rahm as the world no.1 on the OWGR rankings and become the second-fastest to world no.1 with 66 starts.
Hence, Tiger is a huge fan of Morikawa, and he made an interesting comparison of Collin with Furyk. He said, “I don’t want to sound insulting. But in a way, Morikawa plays like an athletic Jim Furyk. Don’t take that the wrong way, Jim. I am sorry if you’re watching. Morikawa’s longer, but he thinks methodically around the golf course like Furyk.”
Hearing these comments from Tiger Woods, the golf world reacted to this. So let us see what do fans think about this assessment of Collin Morikawa from Tiger.

Golf World reacts to Tiger’s surprising comparison of Morikawa
So here’s what the golf fans think about this comment of Tiger Woods.
I would think it’s intended to be a compliment but “plays like Jim Furyk, if JF had 40-50 more yards off the tee” is what I think he wanted to say ? There’s a little bit of shade in there for both players ( even if it wasn’t intentional).

For Furyk to win like he has with that swing, he’s one hell of an athlete. I’ll take him against most of the other players in any other sport. Hoops?

I trust you’re seeking Furyk’s response, yes? 😂

Tigers just worried so he's got to insult the guy.

I think he plays a lot like Mr. @TigerWoods, myself. Or at least carries himself like 🐅. Calm, cool, collected, and just win baby!

Managed to insult Jim and Colin with the same analogy. Rather uncalled for and mean spirited.

This is the only time Furyk and athletic have ever been used in the same sentence

That was a crappy line from Tiger. If you are Morikawa and Tiger says that…. That’s going to stick with you. I love Furyk is very talented and I’m not dissing him, but Tiger was out of line. I’m ticked.

somehow devastating to both Morikawa and Furyk at the same time https://t.co/Yzo2Ibylu7
