Collin Morikawa recently was competing at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, where during an interview, he opened up about how he deals with nervousness. “When you feel nervous, or you kind of have that, for me, it’s turning that nervous energy. I think a lot of people look at it as fear. I’m scared of doing this, so that’s why I am nervous. But look at it like it is excitement,” said Morikawa.

“You know I am excited to do this. I want to do this. And that’s how I look at it when I turned pro. This is something that I’ve dreamt about my entire life. I’m nervous about doing it, but I am also really excited,” revealed Morikawa. And this has helped the two-time major championship winner in his career so far.

He has faced nerve-wracking situations phenomenally well, especially early in his career. Morikawa was competing against his childhood heroes like Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, but still has won events regularly on the PGA Tour.

Meanwhile, Collin had a disappointing start to 2022 as he finished T-62 for the event with a score of +5. Moreover, he will now compete at the Dubai Desert Classic and hopefully will perform better.
