Collin Morikawa has had an incredible start to his golfing career. After turning pro in 2019, he has had five PGA Tours and two major championships in his career so far. Furthermore, along with the PGA Tour, he has even four trophies on the DP World Tour, which shows his dominance in all courses. 

However, this journey hasn’t been easy. Just like every young player, even Collin Morikawa feels nervous during a tournament. But he makes sure that he turns that nervousness into a positive thing. Collin Morikawa shares how he turns nervousness into a positive thing

Collin Morikawa recently was competing at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, where during an interview, he opened up about how he deals with nervousness. “When you feel nervous, or you kind of have that, for me, it’s turning that nervous energy. I think a lot of people look at it as fear. I’m scared of doing this, so that’s why I am nervous. But look at it like it is excitement,” said Morikawa

“You know I am excited to do this. I want to do this. And that’s how I look at it when I turned pro. This is something that I’ve dreamt about my entire life. I’m nervous about doing it, but I am also really excited,” revealed Morikawa. And this has helped the two-time major championship winner in his career so far.

He has faced nerve-wracking situations phenomenally well, especially early in his career. Morikawa was competing against his childhood heroes like Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, but still has won events regularly on the PGA Tour.

Meanwhile, Collin had a disappointing start to 2022 as he finished T-62 for the event with a score of +5. Moreover, he will now compete at the Dubai Desert Classic and hopefully will perform better.
