Brooks Koepka arrived at the Tour Championship in style. Koepka pulled up to East Lake with a mock turtleneck that brought back the Tiger Woods vibes. While he was wearing a color that is opposite to what Woods is renowned for, Koepka experienced a truly beautiful moment during the first round.
The Tour Championship is currently hosting the top 30 golfers in the world. Koepka is one of them and he shot a 3-under-67 on Thursday. The 31-year-old made four birdies in his round and one of them came at the par-3 ninth hole.
Brooks Koepka made a good start to his front nine and made two birdies in his opening six holes. With the same momentum, he struck a good tee shot on the ninth, leaving the ball 29 feet away from the hole, meaning he had a long birdie to make.

Brooks Koepka makes Muhammad Ali reference after making “butterfly” putt
Brooks Koepka made a special putt at the par-3 ninth hole. He had to make a 29-footer, and although it was a good line, the odds were against Koepka to drain it. However, as he tapped the ball with his putter, a butterfly came in out of nowhere and guided the ball inside the hole.
It was a beautiful moment as the white butterfly flew close to the ball until it landed inside the hole. It kind of looked like the butterfly was shaping the ball to go in the perfect line for the putt. In the end, the ball went in and Koepka couldn’t help but bring out a Muhammad Ali reference due to the butterfly’s heroics.
