Scheffler had been using the same Scotty Cameron Tour Rat 1 prototype putter before 2022. However, after experimenting with the Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Timeless putter at home, the golfer thought it was time to change his old putter.

Although he liked the Newport 2 Timeless putter, he wanted something different. Thus, he went to Scottie Cameron Putter Studio to get himself a custom-made Titleist putter. He used both his old Rat 1 and the Newport 2 putters’ features on his new putter, which he thought suited him the most.

Scheffler wanted to begin the new season with his new putter. However, since it is custom-made, the putter took longer than expected to be made. Finally, the golfer got his new Cameron Special Select Timeless Tourtype GSS prototype putter just a week before the WM Phoenix Open.

After playing on the tour for almost two years now, he began to win as soon as he changed his putter. Until now, the golfer has earned $6.173m since his putter change.
