Golf fans are eagerly awaiting the fourth edition of Capital One’s “The Match.” The previous three editions did not fail to entertain, and the fourth one is expected to be the best of the lot. Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady are teaming up against Bryson DeChambeau and Aaron Rodgers this time. While the whole world is waiting to watch this game unfold, a certain person by the name of Charles Barkley is “disgusted” with the newly formed teams.

There is a clear reason why 11x NBA All-Star Charles Barkley is upset. “Chuck’ as he’s fondly known, was a part of the third edition of ‘The Match’ which happened in October 2020. He was Mickelson’s teammate and they won against NFL legend Peyton Manning and NBA’s Steph Curry.

It is true that Charles Barkley and Phil Mickelson are the defending champions of ‘The Match.’ However, Barkley will be unable to defend his title as Phil Mickelson has chosen a different teammate for the upcoming edition of ‘The Match’ on July 6.

Charles Barkley fires shots at Phil Mickelson for snubbing him

‘The Match’ has always been an entertaining game to watch. It brings together fans of different sports and gets them hooked to an 18-hole golf game. The teams are already locked in for the fourth edition, and this time it will be played at The Reserve at Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana.

Charles Barkley is gutted that he will miss out on playing in this edition of ‘The Match.’ In fact, he explicitly made his feelings known during a recent appearance on ‘The Dan Patrick Show.’

“I just I’m just disgusted by Phil Mickelson,” Barkley said. “I cannot believe that he wants to play with this mot*** instead of me. Me and Phil were the defending champs. But I can’t believe he goes to stick with this mot***. I can’t say what Tom [Brady] said, but I can’t believe he wants to stick with his mot*** instead of me.”

Chuck certainly did not hold back his emotions. The NBA legend will be there as a part of TNT’s broadcasting team, but he won’t be playing alongside his former teammate Phil Mickelson.

Barkley certainly took his banter to the next level on Dan Patrick’s show. After taking a jab at Mickelson, the 58-year-old targetted Tom Brady next. Barkley went as far as saying that Brady has no chance of beating him in a game of golf.
