Tiger Woods has won the PGA Tour player of the year award 11-times in his career so far. Moreover, he also holds a record for winning this award the maximum number of times. The next best player is Rory McIlroy, with three PGA Tour player of the year awards. There is an enormous gap of 8 awards between Tiger and Rory.

This shows the level of dominance Tiger has had in his career. Meanwhile, he won this award for the last time in 2013. This was 16 years after he won it for the first time in 1997. Furthermore, Woods won these 11 PGA Tour player of the year awards in 17 years, which is astonishing. Tiger has also won this award in five consecutive years, from 1999 to 2003. And only on six occasions in 17 years, Tiger didn’t win this season-ending award, which is insane.
