Bubba Watson and Ted Scott have been like brothers who fight with each other for a minute and, the next moment, get united. Moreover, their pair as a caddie and player is one of the most famous ones on Tour. However, soon after Justin Thomas and Jimmy Johnson’s split, even Bubba has announced his split with long-time caddie Ted Scott.

Ted and Bubba had been working together since 2007. However, their relationship has seen plenty of ups and downs. Their lowest point came in 2013 at the Travelers Championship, where Bubba hit a 9-iron into the water and eventually lost the event. He rebuked his caddie for this misplay but later apologized for it. And since then, it has been an unbreakable bond between these two until yesterday when Watson announced his split.

Teddy and I have decided to end our on-course partnership, says Bubba Watson

Bubba Watson tweeted about their decision to end their on-course relationship. He said, “After 15 incredible years together, Ted Scott and I have decided to end our on-course partnership. Don’t worry! We’re still friends.”

He even clarified that he is still on good terms with Ted, and they will still share the same bond. Meanwhile, Bubba Watson hasn’t announced anything about who will be Ted’s replacement. It’s not an easy job to be a caddie for Bubba, mainly because of his imaginative play. The shape which he creates on the ball, especially off the tee, is unfathomable.

Hence, he also gave a lot of credit to his caddie for his success on the golf course. Watson won his first-ever PGA Tour trophy in 2010 with Ted Scott, and since then, these two have seen it all from Masters triumphs to Ryder Cup wins.
