Bryson DeChambeau is not a fan-favorite golfer due to his unconventional style of play. However, recently at the 2021 BMW Championship, he seems to be getting appreciation and support from a few fans. And it looks like it has made Bryson happy. Moreover, the controversy which has been going around seems to be cooling off this week thanks to his sensational performance at the Caves Valley Golf Club.
For the last few months, DeChambeau has been on the receiving end of criticism and trolls. But just after his emphatic performance in the second round, where he narrowly missed a 59, Bryson gave a reminder to everyone that he is still one of the best players on the PGA Tour.

“It gives me chills,” says Bryson DeChambeau
During the third round of the 2021 BMW Championship at the Caves Valley Golf Club, there were a few kids who came out to support Bryson DeChambeau by wearing a typical Bryson cap. And Bryson, who was walking to the tee box, saw this and gave them a fist bump. The kids were delighted and couldn’t believe what had just happened.

Moreover, after round three, this is what Bryson said. “It gives me chills. For me, this is because of Hogan and Payne Stewart… Seeing kids go out there and support me with the cap is pretty sweet.”
This is very rare for Bryson as most of the time he doesn’t get the love or support from the crowd that he deserves. Just a few weeks earlier, the crowd heckled DeChambeau at the WGC FedEx St. Jude Invitational. Hence, the support he is getting at Caves Valley is going to feel exceptional.
