Here at EssentiallySports, we had the honor and the privilege of hosting Impa Kasanganay for a brilliant interview. That too close to Super Bowl Sunday! The MMA fighter has racked up a million dollars by becoming the PFL champion of the 2023 season.

Kasanganay had a lot of interesting views to share during his brief interview. One of them was his pick for the winner of the Super Bowl. After an impressive season, the matchup tomorrow has come down to the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. Who’ll win?

Impa Kasanganay isn’t exactly a ‘Swiftie’

It looks like Impa Kasanganay isn’t the biggest fan of pop-icon Taylor Swift. Swift, of course, will be rooting for the Chiefs as her love interest Travis Kelce plays for the team. And ‘Tshilobo’ didn’t really have a lot of faith in the team for the very same reason.

In fact, Kasanganay believed that Taylor Swift’s presence might just act as some sort of a jinx for the Chiefs. This, according to him, would ultimately cost them the game. And so his pick was the 49ers instead who have come to this spot after an interesting run.

“49ers, Chiefs they have Taylor Swift too,” he said picking the San Francisco 49ers when asked to choose. Now that his pick for the Super Bowl is clear, it also helps to note that his pick for his next match is just himself. A confident Kasanganay was sure he would defeat Bellator’s Johnny Eblen.

The February 24 matchup has everyone excited and the PFL champion is certain that there are holes in Eblen’s game and he asserts just that in the ES exclusive fancast interview. Kasanganay looks forward to exploiting those little gaps but even if there were none, he would make sure he’d come up superior.

Impa Kasanganay isn’t the type of fighter to talk a lot of trash about his opponents ahead of the fight. During the ES Exclusive Interview, he opened up about how Eblen being a big challenge is exactly what he’s looking for in his career now that he’s claimed the million-dollar prize at PFL.

“Johnny [Eblen] is good everywhere. He’s done his thing in Bellator. He dominated. He’s fought well… he’s one of those fighters who’s put a stamp and made his place in history. And those are the moments in the fights that you look to elevate yourself. And I think it is a thing to consider, like a catapulting moment, that David versus Goliath or whatever you want to look at it,” he said.
