Right after winning her premier Wimbledon title in the year 2017 by defeating the legend, Venus Williams, Garbine Muguruza said, “I would like to dance with Roger Federer” and Roger was yet to play Marin Cilic in the finals. She was supporting Roger in the men’s final at 2017 Wimbledon so she could share the stage and dance with the Swiss at the Champions Ball. Everybody is fond of Roger Federer and when you are professionally linked to tennis the love, respect, regard and admiration for the Swiss maestro multiplies. Just like everyone, the Czech tennis ace, Petra Kvitova holds high esteem for the 20-time Grand Slam champion. She has been a champion twice at Wimbledon but was not fortunate enough to dine with Federer at the Champions Dinner.

Kvitova was a champion in 2011 and 2014 at the SW19 district of London. The eight-time Wimbledon champion, Federer was defeated by the Frenchman, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the 2011 quarter-finals and surrendered to the Serb, Novak Djokovic in 2014 final. Both the times, the matches ended up to be a five-setter clash. “What a shame! But just in these years, Federer did not win. It would have been nice because Roger is a good guy, I like him a lot”, Kvitova expressed her views on Federer.

Kvitova also spoke about Roger’s game on grass and his probabilities of winning his ninth crown on the Centre Court of Wimbledon, she said, “He definitely can. Because Roger exactly knows how to play on grass. I admire him. He is not younger anymore. But his movement makes him so good. I have a big game for it. Of course, I want to win a third time. But it will be tough. Many things happened since then, I stay realistic”.

Everyone is well aware of the 37-year-old’s present accomplished dwelling on tour, and Kvitova was asked about how does see herself as a 37-year-old, the Czech Republican replied, “I would like to play the Olympic Games again, so 2020 Tokyo. What will happen afterwards, we will see. For example, I also think about starting a family. Victoria Azarenka is a mother and still a tennis player. Career and kids are hard. For men, it’s much easier”.
