Australian Wicket Keeper cum Batsman, Brad Haddin, might miss the upcoming Lord’s Test, due to personal reasons. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the Wicket Keeper supposedly didn’t train with the team on Tuesday and is expected to be left out of the all important upcoming Ashes Test. The Aussies find themselves in an uneasy situation in the Ashes in England yet again, as their Ace Speedster Mitchell Starc remains doubtful for the Lord’s Test, and their key all-rounder Shane Watson has his spot in the side repeatedly scrutinized.The Aussie media has already called for the all rounder’s axe along with teammate Brad Haddin.

Brad Haddin had been an Aussie mainstay in the lower middle order in the last Ashes in Australia where he scored 493 runs in 8 innings at an average of 61.62, batting with the tail enders at times.

However, he just scored 22 and 7 in the first test at Cardiff, which England won by a whopping 169-run margin.
The Chief Selector, Rodney Marsh, supposedly spoke at length with the other Wicket Keeper in the Squad, Peter Nevill, during the training session, cementing a further proof that the Melbourne Renegades Wicket Keeper is well set to make his debut. Nevill has never played any kind of cricket with the senior Australian side before.

The 29-year-old, has an impressive first class record with 3012 runs in 55 games for New South Wales and also played in the warm-up game against Essex. Fast Bowler, Peter Siddle has already backed Nevill to take on his new challenge with intent and purpose.”He has had a couple of great years in first-class cricket and if it’s this Test or in future then I’ve no doubt he will be ready to go,” said Siddle.
