Manchester City is reluctant to stop the pursuit of the former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola this summer, even though he has openly expressed that he wants to see out his contract with Bayern Munich until 2016.
The desire of Manchester City is such that the club’s director of football Txiki Begiristain has flown to Munich today in order to persuade the Bayern Munich boss to join Manchester City. Even though Pep has insisted that he will be lining up a move elsewhere only after his contract exhausts, Txiki feels that he will be able to change the Spaniard’s mind because of the relationship they had built with each other while working together in Barcelona.
Manchester City knows that Pep Guardiola will be in great demand next year since his contract gets over and henceforth they are trying their level best to get their man on the job.
The city is also considering to sack their out of favor boss Pellegrini as they have already surrendered the PL title this year and their UCL qualification is also looking uncertain. This clearly states how important it is for the defending PL champions, to bring in a manager of the Pep’s stature, next season!
