Difference Between Roger Federer And Rafael Nadal

In a recent interview with Ubitennis, Pat Cash spoke about a lot of things. One of those things was about the differences between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal where he said,

“Roger is extremely consistent and I think his greatest record is the number of  Grand Slam quarter-finals he reached in a row. That is absolutely phenomenal. As a player who wasn’t consistent, I have always loved people who could keep playing without injury. Rafa has probably more power as if you were doing weights or something. So, I see Roger like an Electric Car and Rafa as a Ferrari.”

Pat Cash has said a lot of things here that are true. The Swiss Maestro has been the most consistent player ever. Compared to a lot of players, he has had fewer injuries and that is why he is still able to play tennis at the age of 38 which is not something we see often. And we can expect him to continue playing like this.

This is because he is competing with his great rival Rafael Nadal to become the GOAT of tennis. This competition is the biggest one in tennis and the winner will be decided only through one record – the record for the most Grand Slams.

The Swiss maestro is currently holding this record but his rival is getting dangerously close. In fact, after his win at the 2019 US Open, Rafa took his Grand Slam tally to 19. This is just one short of Federer’s record of 20 and is the reason why the Swiss star is still playing.

He will definitely win some more titles to extend his lead while the Spaniard will be trying to overtake him. We don’t know who is going to win this race but we can expect this battle to be absolutely entertaining.
