After the Tokyo Olympics 2020 summed up, the attention of the world turned to the Paralympics. After 13 days of fantastic competition and matches, the Paralympics will now head to Paris in 2024. China led the medals tally with an incredible 96 gold medals and finished with 207 medals. Notably, Great Britain finished second while the USA finished third. The Games closed with a glittering closing ceremony with unique performances in Tokyo. Notably, Sadeck Berrabeh stole the show with his incredible choreography with different artists.

A closing ceremony for the ages at Tokyo Paralympics

Sadeck Berrabeh performed with 126 seated people who only moved their arms to perform. In what was a beautifully choreographed motion of movements, the artist showcased their talents on the grandest stage of them all.
Nonetheless, this show was a part of the handover ceremony from Tokyo to Paris; the next destination for the Paralympics. The artist shared an Instagram story thanking everyone who was involved with it.
“It was a real honor for me to be able to choreograph this handover ceremony for the Paralympic Games between @ tokyo2020 and @ paris2024. A show that knew how to transmit values ??that have always animated me, human and universal. This week of creating and sharing with a mix of people from all walks of life has comforted me about the power and beauty of being human.”

The games move on from Tokyo Olympics to Paris
The closing ceremony took place behind closed doors while VIPs attended the function. Crown Prince Akishino, Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike, and president of the International Paralympic Committee Andrew Parsons were in attendance.

The organizers decided Harmonious Cacophony and Moving Forward to be the themes of the closing ceremony. It showcased a lot of unique performances showcasing love, hope, and happiness in their themes.

Hopefully, the 2024 Paris Paralympics will provide as much brilliance and talent as Tokyo. Despite the event held behind closed doors, the Paralympics were a resounding success.
