Oscar De La Hoya slams Charlo
During the press conference for Munguia vs Kelly, De La Hoya shared his thoughts on why the fight with Charlo did not take place and had this to say.
“You know In terms of Charlo, yeah we were ready to, you know make the fight, we were ready to do whatever it takes to get Jaime Munguia the fight that he wants, that everybody has been asking for and obviously one thing about Charlo and one thing about the whole PBC stable is that they hide behind Al Hamon and that’s the bottom line”

He then adds that his promotion does not want to make ordinary fights and slams Charlo for dodging Munguia, “We don’t want to make ordinary fights. We want to make the best fights when our fighters are ready. We want to make the best fights possible and I’m hoping that Charlo grows some ba**s and tells his management team and tells his people, hey I want to fight Jaime Munguia. I want to fight the very best.”
It seems De La Hoya is eager to make a fight between Charlo and Munguia, but for now, he has to overcome Kelly for a possible chance to face Charlo in the future.
