James Harden’s position in this year’s roster is out there in the open. Analysts are working out of their minds to come to a perspective about which colors Harden will sport. The 39-year-old is currently playing with the Philadelphia 76ers as their guard. That option has worked extremely well for the team since they drafted him.
There’s absolutely nothing that should stop Philadelphia from sweetening the deal for James. Analyst Brian Windhorst wasted no time in planning out why James Harden could get a much better deal.

Brian Windhorst reminds us how James Harden took a pay cut the previous season
Brian Windhorst, the American sports writer for ESPN, discusses Harden’s options and his future in the NBA.
Windhorst said, “A lot of players have opted out of their player options this summer. He took a significant pay cut last year to help the Sixers build up their roster. They did. They signed PJ Tucker and traded for De?Anthony Melton. So, he frankly is kind of in a bit of debt based on his production.
People expect the Sixers’ offer to be considerably higher, or whatever number of years it is. The indications are that James Harden is going to remain in Philadelphia”
"I expect the Sixers' offer to be considerably higher [than James Harden's $35.6 million player option], or whatever number of years it is… He can get up to 4 years. I'm sure Philadelphia, with a 33-year-old, would like it shorter."

He continued, “I would not say for sure it?s a done deal, but those are the indications, and really it will come down to what sort of contract they negotiate. He could get up to four years. I?m sure Philadelphia with a 33-year-old would like it shorter, and that?s part of the negotiation I think the Sixers have been working on in recent weeks.”‘
As an analyst would, Brian is fully absorbed in the past to conjecture what the player and the team should do in the future. Harden hasn’t opted out of the contract as yet. But both the team and the man might look for significant additions to any future contract.
