Daniel Cormier will probably go down as one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. Known to most of the world, Cormier shares a unique relationship with Khabib Nurmagomedov. In a recent interaction with BT Sports, Cormier talks about his friendship with current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Daniel Cormier looked back at the time when Khabib walked inside the gym. Cormier also shared how he feels like an elder brother to Khabib. He appreciated their unique relationship and credited Khabib Nurmagomedov as a caring and loving person. It was amazing to see Cormier talk about the current UFC lightweight champion who has become a global superstar now. Cormier’s relationship with Khabib goes back to Khabib”s early years in the UFC when the whole world was yet to know the Dagestani fighter.

“I love Khabib. I think he is one of the best people in the world man. He is so loyal, and he is so caring. Once you are part of this circle man, he will die for you. I mean that literally. He cares about people to the point that, in your family, we have fun. think, because he is Khabib now, the global superstar. I still see him as Khabib the kid that walked into the gym and didn’t speak English. I am like his big brother, and that allows us to have such a unique relationship.”

“And I am glad that a.k.a fight news, and I am the bae. And everybody else who records it is able to let you guys watch and let you get a look inside the gym on a daily basis.”

Cormier was happy about the videos that go out for the MMA fans who get to see what happens inside the gym. And rightfully so, two of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time, battling out in the gym, while having fun is a great sight for every MMA fan.

What’s next for Daniel Cormier?

It’s not official yet, however, Daniel Cormier has shown interest in the third fight with current heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic. Dana White has also shown approval in various media interactions. Cormier has previously stated that the fight against Miocic might be his last appearance inside the octagon as a fighter.
