In an interview with MMA journalist The Schmo, the 35-year-old talked about his first week of training with the former UFC dual champion.
‘DJ’ said, “We’re Frenemies… I got a house out here in Arizona. Me and Henry have always had respect between one another, even though we fought twice, 1-1. So why not share knowledge and get some work in together? A beautiful facility at Fight Ready. I mean, it only makes sense.”

The Kentucky-born fighter elaborated on how training with ‘Triple C‘ will benefit him and said, “Me and him are on, kind of, a same boat; We’re both shorter guys. When you fight Dominick Cruz, a guy who likes to run, move, do a lot of movement – I thought he really handled, you know, covering distance very well, right? And honestly, he’s, you know, very good.”
‘Mighty Mouse‘ will fight a long athlete at ONE 161, who knows how to use his range. Besides, as his slick footwork troubled ‘DJ’ in their first bout, training with another world-class athlete will surely help him.

Additionally, Johnson’s revelation about his training suggests it’s a good move for him to have Henry Cejudo by his side for this camp.
“Out of my whole entire career, all my title defenses, I’ve never brought anybody into my camp; I’ve never gone outside of my camp,” disclosed the AMC Pankration athlete.
