This grave news shocked the MMA world and noted personalities like the ONE Championship CEO & Chairman, Chatri Sityodtong, and even the UFC President, Dana White, gave out their condolences to Lee’s near-and-dear ones. The famed former UFC Lightweight Champion. Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s own MMA promotion, ‘Eagle FC’ had to go through a major tragedy. The Operations Manager of Eagle FC, ‘Kevin Alires’ took his last breath recently, which saddened a lot of noted names in the MMA community. Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s all-around retirement from MMA startled a lot of fans. His coach, Javier Mendez, revealed the reason behind Nurmagomedov’s abrupt decision to end everything related to MMA.

UFC and ONE Championship’s head honchos remember MMA star, Victoria Lee

The noted ONE Championship fighter Victoria Lee, traveled to the eternal abode on 26 December 2022 causing a huge shock to MMA fans. Recently, the news of her death was publicized by her elder sister and ONE Atomweight World Champion, Angela Lee. ‘The Prodigy’s’ demise garnered heartfelt condolences from the main men of the two MMA giants, UFC and ONE Championship.

ONE Championship CEO & Chairman, Chatri Sidtyodtong, had known Victoria Lee for a long time. He put out his condolences through a post on Facebook which partially read, “I am heartbroken by Victoria Lee’s passing. I first met Victoria when she was 11 years old”.

‘The ONE boss’ also wrote, “Victoria had the purest heart of gold and a brilliant mind. She looked after others before herself. She wanted to use her life to help the world. I will always remember Victoria for the beautiful and precious soul that she was”.

UFC President, Dana White, also expressed grief regarding the untimely passing of ‘The Prodigy’. White shared the official post from ONE Championship’s Instagram account as his own Instagram story.

Dana White wrote, “RIP Victoria Lee”, expressing his grief on this untoward incident.

Eagle FC lost its Operations Manager – Kevin Alires

Recent times are not quite going well for the MMA world. After Khabib’s retirement, the Operations Manager of his own fight promotion, ‘Eagle FC’, bid goodbye to this world recently. The death of ‘Kevin Alires’ was mourned by some of the noted personalities from the world of MMA. Alires had also served as the Vice President of Operations for the noted MMA promotion, ‘PFL’.

‘Dominance MMA’ chief Ali Abdelaziz took to Twitter and expressed his best wishes for the afterlife of Alires.

‘The Eagle’s former coach Javier Mendez revealed the reason behind his retirement

The MMA world received a shock recently as the famed fighter, Khabib Nurmagomedov, announced his untimely retirement. Nurmagomedov had his last fight on 24 October 2020. After the fight, he said he will never return to the Octagon. But, he had been well into the UFC cornering the current UFC Lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev, before his abrupt retirement from all of MMA.

His long-time coach, Javier Mendez, recently revealed the reason behind Khabib’s untimely retirement. Mendez stated, “He just doesn’t want to miss being a father. He talked to me about three weeks ago and told me of his plan and said he planned to talk to the team and inform them of his decision”.
