WrestleMania 40 will be remembered for its unforgettable moments, most notably the end of Roman Reigns‘ historic WWE Championship reign. Cody Rhodes captured the title in a dramatic match, unexpectedly aided by The Undertaker’s return from retirement. Emerging from the darkness at WrestleMania, The Undertaker delivered a devastating chokeslam to The Rock, who was supporting Roman Reigns. This surprise appearance naturally received a huge pop in the arena.

In a recent podcast with current ONE Flyweight MMA World Champion Demetrious Johnson, Johnson asked The Undertaker how he orchestrated his surprise return to the ring. The Undertaker revealed the amusing turn of events that led to his iconic appearance. He stated, “It must have been late Tuesday night when I got a call from Triple H. He goes, “We’re thinking about this thing, and your name’s come up.'”

The Undertaker further continued, “Sunday, I’m sitting in the suite with my family and friends, watching it. All of a sudden, I felt my phone going off, and I looked at it. I’m like, “Huh.” I put my phone up and said, “I’ll be back in a little bit.” She knew what it meant.”

Later in the podcast, Demetrious Johnson asked The Undertaker if he rehearsed his ring entrance and chokeslam on The Rock. The Undertaker revealed he had to do the show without any rehearsal, a remarkable feat for a 59-year-old wrestling veteran. Meanwhile, Demetrious Johnson was busy with the podcast while potential opponents were eyeing his return. One of these opponents recently expressed a desire to defeat “Mighty Mouse” in an interview.

Jarred Brooks seeks Demetrious Johnson’s attention

Former ONE Strawweight MMA World Champion Jarred Brooks is looking to rebound from his title loss to Joshua Pacio, which resulted in a disqualification due to an illegal slam. Learning from his mistake, Brooks is now focused on reclaiming his belt against Cuban sensation Gustavo Balart for the ONE Interim Strawweight MMA World Championship, airing on US primetime on August 2nd.
