Yu Yau Pui is riding a six-fight winning streak in ONE Championship, but that will be far from her mind when she enters the ring this weekend.

“I’m not the kind of person who’s very afraid of losing. I don’t think anybody can be undefeated for their entire career. There are so many opponents who are stronger than you, smarter than you. You will be defeated one day,” she said in an interview with ONE.

Clash of titans: Yu vs. Pirnie

Yu has two losses against 28 wins in her professional career. Her recent run of form is a testament to her self-improvement, but she’ll be tested by her upcoming opponent.

Pirnie became widely regarded as one of the best female fighters in her division after she won the ISKA, WBC, and Lion Fight titles. She will enter the world’s largest martial arts organization with a 19-fight win streak that was capped off by a successful defense of the Lion Fight Super Flyweight title against Fernandez in August 2021.
