Rodtang Jitmuangnon doesn’t take kindly to threats or bold statements that question his in-ring abilities. This Friday, June 7, ‘The Iron Man’ will face a man who did both in Denis ‘The Bosnian Menace’ Puric.

The pair will clash in a flyweight kickboxing matchup at ONE 167: Tawanchai vs. Nattawut II inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. And while Rodtang is characteristically humble and calculated going into the bout, he has issued a chilling warning for the Bosnian.

The Thai star has been sidelined by injury and will be competing in just his first match this year following his first promotional loss in Muay Thai courtesy of flyweight kickboxing king The Kicking Machine’ Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE Friday Fights 34 in September last year.

In an interview with ONE ahead of his next match, the 26-year-old chose not to highlight his advantages over his opponent and instead broke down Puric’s strengths and weaknesses from his perspective.

“I never think that I had an advantage over anyone. I just want to do my best in every fight. Everyone has talent and strength. I never underestimate my opponent. They’re all good. I need to do my homework as best I can,” he said.

“Denis’ strengths are that he can get in and out quickly. And he is a heavy hitter, good at countering with punches, kicks, and knees. His weakness is that he seems to run out of gas at the end of the round. And his weak body will be a good target for me,” he added.

Puric is riding a two-fight win streak, with his latest fight against erstwhile #2-ranked Muay Thai contender Jacob Smith giving Rodtang a full spectrum of the Soi Dogs MMA representative’s abilities. And Puric’s recent belligerent comments have not gone down well with the Thai star, who has responded in kind.

Rodtang promises hell on earth for Puric

‘The Bosnian Menace’ showed off his aggressive nature and never-say-die attitude against a very game Smith early on. In the second round, he flashed his devastating power with two knockdowns that put him ahead of the scorecards. In the third, though, he slowed down a bit, possibly revealing a flawed gas tank.

Nevertheless, Puric is confident that he will overcome Rodtang and that he will “make a fool out of him” in kickboxing. The Thai superstar just shrugs it off, saying he’s happy that his opponent is confident before sending an ominous warning in response to Puric’s statements.

“Let’s see how it goes in the ring. I’m glad you think that I’m no match for you. Thank you for calling me out. See you on June 7, when you will know what hell on earth is,” Rodtang declared chillingly. What are your predictions for ONE 167? Let us know in the comments section below.
