Nat “Wondergirl” Jaroonsak is getting a short-notice replacement in her match this weekend. 

The Thai star was slated to face Brazil’s Dayane Cardoso in a mixed rules super-fight at ONE Fight Night 19: Haggerty vs Lobo this Friday, February 16, inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. 

However, Cardoso is out due to undisclosed reasons, and a new challenger has stepped up in her place.

Nat Jaroonsak is to compete in the strawweight division next

“Wondergirl” will now be competing in a strawweight Muay Thai contest opposite promotional newcomer Martyna Kierczynska.

The 21-year-old hails from Poland and carries an impressive resume deserving of competing with the best strikers on the planet today. She has won multiple Muay Thai tournaments, including the WMC Pro World Championships, the World Combat Games, and the European Games. 

Securing a win in her debut against Jaroonsak inside a historic venue will certainly vault her star into the next level. Despite being a short-notice replacement, Kierczynska may still be fighting on even ground.

After all, Jaroonsak has been busy preparing for an entirely different opponent under a completely different rule-set. Additionally, she has expressed her desire to focus on mixed martial arts this year, where she wants to improve on her 1-1 record. 

Will Jaroonsak come out on top on Friday 16?

Competing in Muay Thai once again may not be in her original plans, but she remains a warrior at heart and takes on the challenge easily. 

Through her stint in the promotion, she has competed in three Muay Thai bouts, winning two of them via knockout. 

She remains one of the top strikers in the division and will be a challenge for anyone who steps into the ring against her.

Despite a change in opponent and rule-set, “Wondergirl’s” match will still be one of the bouts to watch out for in the card, as it will feature two fighters who are hungry to prove themselves on the global stage.
