The rivalry between Superlek and Haggerty started way back in the year 2018. They previously fought each other outside the promotion at Yokkao. The fight ended because of a doctor’s stoppage after Haggerty suffered a massive cut over his eyes resulting in the victory of Superlek. However, things have changed drastically for both the fighters in the last six years. 28-year-old Haggerty is now a two-sport world champion while Superlek is the reigning ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion.

Both fighters recently met at ONE Friday Fights 72 and what followed was an intense face-off. Superlek added more fuel to the fire while speaking to Mitch Chilson at the event. The 28-year-old Thai isn’t quite bothered about his opponent and said, “I am ready. I will have the power to go against Jonathan Haggerty.”  Talking about Haggerty, he is also very much up for the challenge. Although there is a lot of mutual respect between the pair, none of the fighters are willing to give away an inch to each other.

Haggerty is currently on a six-fight winning streak and will look to avenge his previous loss against the Thai superstar. Talking about preparations the Brit is leaving no stones unturned before his epic clash. He took to his Instagram account to give an update about his peak physical condition.
