After the fight, Lee shared a moment with her opponent at ONE X. Lee even suggested she can endure any amount of pain inside the ONE Circle, as she has already experienced it during giving birth to a child. Also, she was happy with being a Mom Champ and breaking the stereotypes.
How did the ‘Mom Champ’ Angela Lee win?
The highly awaited bout started with both the champion rushing forward and landing beautiful combos against the former Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion. However, Stamp managed to control the fight using her superior striking skills.
During the first round, the champion faced an intense moment when she was caught to the body. With the champion hurt and backing away, Stamp looked to finish the fight. The referee did an awesome job to give Angela Lee enough time to showcase she was still in the fight.
Initially, the champion looked to strike with Stamp. However, she went to her bread and butter when she faced the adversary inside the ONE Circle. The champion used her ground skills to survive the shots coming from the challenger.
When Lee recovered, she relied on her jiujitsu and took down the challenger in the second round. Stamp, who is relatively young in MMA, did well to survive on the ground. However, Lee’s pressure from the top was just too much for the Thai fighter.
