Can Liam Harrison's promise to put on a show against Seksan live up to the hype?

British striking legend Liam “Hitman” Harrison always enjoys a good brawl and knows his upcoming opponent has the same mindset.

At ONE 168: Denver on U.S. primetime this Friday, September 6, “Hitman” will take on Seksan “The Man Who Yields To No One” Or Kwanmuang in a 140-lb catchweight Muay Thai battle inside Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.

Liam Harrison is known for his aggressive approach, which usually results in explosive bouts whenever he straps on the gloves. Both his wins in the ONE Championship have come via knockout, including his 2022 ONE Muay Thai Fight Of The Year masterpiece against Muangthai PK Saenchai.

Speaking to ONE in an interview, the 38-year-old broke down how, although he has certain things prepared for Seksan, he’s ready to veer off course if his Thai foe decides to throw hands relentlessly.

“We’ve got a few game plans ready for when he goes into war mode. But, to be honest, when he starts going to war, I’ll be comfortable going to war with him. I’ll probably get told off in the corner by my coach, but I don’t really care to be honest with you,” Harrison said.

ONE 168 will be the British brawler’s first fight in over two years. He was forced to take extended leave in order to recover from a devastating knee injury he suffered in his last ONE Championship matchup in 2022.

Veteran warriors ready to deliver a captivating showdown

As he worked his way back to full health, Harrison wasn’t shy about expressing how he wanted to put on exciting fights for fans before calling time on his legendary career. Seksan is likely to be a perfect partner in that endeavor, given that he’s been in the game for many years and owns 201 professional wins, which includes winning his first eight bouts in ONE.

True to his moniker, “The Man Who Yields To No One” isn’t afraid to absorb punches if it helps him set up his own devastating blows, and Harrison promises nothing short of fireworks when the two veterans meet in Denver this weekend.

“At this point in my career, I’m going to do what I want to do. If I enjoy it and the fans enjoy it, I honestly don’t care if I win or lose. I just want to get in there, enjoy myself, and make sure all the fans – everyone that has bought a ticket and everyone watching at home – get to watch two old war dogs collide in a great fight,” he said.
