With that massive audience in mind, every fighter on the card understands the important opportunity before them – to launch themselves into the global stratosphere.

That opportunity exists doubly so for those who aren’t expected to win: the underdogs.

Now, just hours away from showtime, here are three MMA fighters who could score huge upsets at ONE on Prime Video 2 this Friday.

Halil Amir

Promotional newcomer Halil Amir owns a perfect record and a 100 percent finishing rate. Despite those accomplishments and his prodigious skills, the Turkish sensation finds himself as an underdog against Russian bruiser Timofey Nastyukhin.

With 12 fights inside the ONE Circle, Nastyukhin – a former ONE Lightweight World Title challenger – represents a serious step up in competition for the 28-year-old. But by that same token, a win for Amir would signal to the rest of the division that he is a true contender worth watching.

And because Nastyukhin is currently the #3-ranked lightweight, Amir could take his spot in the top-five rankings and knock on the door of a World Title opportunity with a debut win.

Jihin Radzuan

Malaysian standout Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan will look to score an upset when she takes on former ONE Atomweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion Stamp Fairtex.

A fan favorite since her promotional debut in 2018, Stamp has experienced tremendous success. In fact, she even made the switch to MMA and won the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix last December. However, the Thai megastar is coming off an unsuccessful bid for three-sport glory when she fell to Angela Lee this past March.

Meanwhile, Jihin has quietly put together a solid three-fight winning streak, landing her in the top five at atomweight.

A win over such a well-known fighter like Stamp would do wonders for “Shadow Cat,” especially since the Thai megastar is the division’s #1-ranked contender. Not only would it garner her countless new fans and recognition as one of the best on the planet, but it would also strengthen her case for a shot at Lee’s Atomweight World Title.

Ilya Fremanov

Finally, Russian knockout artist Ilya Fremanov hopes to jump the line in the featherweight rankings when he battles #3-ranked Martin Nguyen in his promotional debut.

For Fremanov, Nguyen represents the most accomplished opponent of his 11-fight professional career. “The Situ-Asian” is a former two-division ONE World Champion and a long-established elite talent.

With his 80 percent finishing rate and three straight KO wins, the 26-year-old Russian sensation should be brimming with confidence as he faces his toughest foe yet.

If he can come out victorious, Fremanov will have instantly inserted himself into the World Title discussion.
