Before the action gets underway this Friday, we look at three reasons why ONE Fight Night 8 is a must-watch event.
#1 An All-Action World Title Main Event
Stepping up on just days’ notice to fill in for an injured Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon, fan-favorite brawler “Mini T” Danial Williams challenges Superlek “The Kicking Machine” Kiatmoo9 for his ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Title in the main event. “Mini T” was originally slated to compete in a Muay Thai bout on the card, so he’ll come into this showdown in top form.
What’s more, the Australian star will be fighting with nothing to lose. That mindset, coupled with his trademark ultra-aggressive style of striking, will surely make for an electrifying fight against Superlek – a man widely regarded as one of the world’s top pound-for-pound strikers.
#2 A Long-Awaited World Title Unification Co-Main Event
Before Williams and Superlek battle for kickboxing gold, reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues will finally defend her belt against interim atomweight Muay Thai queen Janet “JT” Todd.
After nearly three full years away from competition, the Brazilian titleholder is undoubtedly ready to return to the Circle and remind fans just how dangerous she can be.

The woman known as “JT” has different plans. The 37-year-old American has won seven in a row, collecting the ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Title in addition to her interim crown.
#3 Undefeated Phenoms Make Their ONE Debuts
Lower on the card, a pair of fast-rising stars with perfect records will make their promotional debuts. First, Japanese standout Keito Yamakita will look to use his elite wrestling skills and raw physicality when he puts his 7-0 record on the line against former ONE Strawweight World Champion Alex “Little Rock” Silva in an MMA contest that is likely to showcase world-class grappling.
