Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak’s star is steadily rising in the world of combat sports. And she wants to keep scoring wins against formidable opponents to help establish her place among the planet’s elite. The Thai striker’s upcoming opponent, Cristina Morales, is undoubtedly a scalp she’ll want to collect.

However the Spanish star is out for redemption, so she is going to make that task a tough one. Morales is an ISKA Atomweight K-1 World 9 who arrived in ONE with great expectations. Unfortunately for her, she suffered a devastating loss to Anissa Meksen in her debut at ONE: Empower in September 2021.

Thus, her match at ONE Fight Night 16 is a crucial one in her eyes. The pair were scheduled to meet twice before. However, injuries scuppered those fights. Now that both are healthy and ready, though, they are eager to finally test each other’s skills.

Fans can expect these hungry strikers to show out to prove themselves on ONE’s global stage, meaning a barnburner is likely to go down. Undoubtedly, two of the most elite strikers in the MMA world right now, their fight are going to be a blast to witness.

Zhang Peimian vs. Rui Botelho – Strawweight Kickboxing

A shot at a World Title will always bring out the best in a fighter, and Zhang Peimian and Rui Botelho know that could be an option following their tussle on Friday. With no clear contenders for Jonathan Di Bella’s ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Championship, the winner of this brawl might book a date with the Italian-Canadian star if they score an impressive win.

Zhang has stood against Di Bella once before, as they contested the vacant strap in October 2022. The Chinese star fell to a decision loss on that occasion, so he’s determined to get revenge in a rematch. But he must get past Botelho first.

The Portuguese striker is an aggressive fighter, but he has been on the wrong end of some decisions throughout his seven bouts in ONE. However, his lone win in the promotion came in kickboxing, and he wants to add to it against Zhang. This match is going to be a tight one, as both men have the capacity to bring proceedings to an end in an instant, owing to the power they have in their hands and feet.

Lito Adiwang vs. Jeremy Miado – Strawweight MMA

Pitting two knockout artists against each other is a perfect recipe for a blockbuster fight, and that’s what fans should expect to see when Lito Adiwang and Jeremy Miado meet for their rematch. The Filipino finishers first met at ONE X in March 2022. Their bout came with significant expectations, and it was living up to them until Adiwang took a misstep and tore his ACL.

The injury allowed Miado to pounce and score a TKO victory, but many have debated how it would have gone had it continued. After 18 months of rehabilitation, Adiwang returned at ONE Friday Fights 34 this past September and annihilated Adrian Mattheis in under 30 seconds to show the world that he is as explosive as ever.

Meanwhile, Miado went on to beat Danial Williams at ONE on Prime Video 3 in October 2022 and claim the #5-ranked contender spot in the strawweight MMA rankings before he fell to Mansur Malachiev this past June at ONE Fight Night 11. Both men are eager to put a cap on their rivalry with an undebatable victory, and the winner could potentially begin their ascent through the divisional rankings, so fans shouldn’t blink when this one kicks off.
