He’ll be facing a different type of beast. However, when he takes on BJJ phenom Kade Ruotolo for the first-ever ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Title. The 19-year-old enters this World Title match following a spectacular, all-submission performance at the ADCC World Championships.
As accomplished and skilled as he is, the Russian is still relatively unknown in the submission grappling world. A win over the wildly popular and red-hot Ruotolo would instantly turn Kurzhev into a global superstar, as well as the owner of one of the biggest upsets in the history of the sport.
