ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Joseph “The Hurricane” Lasiri steps up for his toughest challenge to date at ONE on Prime Video 4, and he is prepared to leave everything in the Circle to score the biggest win of his career.
The Italian-Moroccan striking star moves up a division at the Friday, November 18 event in an attempt to gain two-division World Champion status against flyweight Muay Thai king Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon.

Lasiri understands that the four-time World Champion will be no easy night at the office, and he plans to use his opponent’s aggressive style against him to gain the upper hand.
Joeseph Lasiri plans to enrage Rodtang Jitmuangnon
“What is more comfortable? Fight Rodtang forward or fight Rodtang technically? For me, I think it’s more comfortable to fight Rodtang if it’s forward. So, the game plan is to make Rodtang angry, and then he will come to me,” the 31-year-old said.
“The Iron Man” has used the same approach to rile up his opponents before picking them apart throughout his career. Lately, though, he has been switching it up, and this is something Lasiri will have to take into account when they battle for gold this Friday.
The turning point of Rödäng’s evolution came when he squared off with Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson in a special-rules super fight at ONE X this past March.
The 25-year-old’s footwork and movement helped him set up and land more precise shots. And he showcased a similar style when he returned at ONE 157 to take on Jacob Smith. Rodtang remained poised and patient, which allowed him to land decisive shots on his way to his 10th victory in ONE.

Lasiri can’t say with certainty what style his upcoming foe will display on fight night, but he’ll try to make him ‘angry’, while staying sharp defensively and in attack.
“He’s a professional fighter. He had many fights and many styles. You can see the difference between a fighter and another fighter. Sometimes he goes forward, but now Rodtang starts to be more technical. He is just [on] point,” the Kick and Punch Milano representative added.

“You cannot take one fight and say, ‘Oh, Rodtang would be like this, for sure.’ No, you have to expect Rodtang forward. You cannot beat Rodtang more technically.”
