While his belt won’t be on the line for this upcoming fight, Superlek isn’t taking it lightly. This fight will be a warm-up before Superlek takes on two-sport World Champion Jonathan Haggerty in September at ONE 168: Denver. ONE Flyweight Kickboxing King Superlek Kiatmoo9 is ready to return to the Circle in a big way following his huge World Title defense against Takeru Segawa at ONE 165 last January. He’s set to jump back into action on June 28th at ONE Friday Fights 68, where he’ll face Kongthoranee Sor Sommai.
But that’s not all. Three months later, Superlek will step up in weight to challenge Jonathan Haggerty for the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Championship.
Some might think Superlek’s fight with Kongthoranee is just a warm-up act before his main event against “The General,” but Superlek isn’t taking Kongthoranee lightly.

In a recent interview with the South China Morning Post, the Thai champ said, “I think Kongthoranee is also a very good fighter. [He has a] different style if you compare it with Jonathan Haggerty. I think he’s [ranked] lower but his power is superior. He’s a technical Muay Thai fighter who can actually score a KO.”
