ONE Championship star Sage Northcutt won’t be in action at ONE Fight Night 13 this coming weekend, but he will be tuned in to watch what unfolds.

The Singapore-based promotion’s latest spectacle goes down this Friday, August 4, inside the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and the stacked card promises exciting action from top to bottom. In the evening’s main event, Chingiz Allazov will defend the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Championship against Marat Grigorian in a rematch ten years in the making between two of the best strikers in the world today.

‘Super’ is hyped to see how the much-anticipated tussle plays out, especially after seeing both men in action in the past. “That’s going to be an insane fight,” Northcutt said in an interview with ONE. “The reason is, I feel like, from the videos I watched, they have somewhat of a similar style. They’re both so aggressive. I love watching two aggressive fighters go after it and just want to get out there and get the finish. I think it’s going to be exciting to see who’s the more aggressive fighter out there.”

“It’s a tough fight, but I think it’s definitely going to be one of the most, if not the most, exciting fights of the night.” Allazov rose to the top of the stacked featherweight kickboxing division in spectacular fashion, amassing a staggering four-fight winning streak that includes victory in the bracket’s illustrious Grand Prix last year and claiming the coveted World Title with a shocking TKO win over Superbon Singha Maynn this past January.

Grigorian’s victory over “Chinga” may have come ten years ago, but he will be bolstered by a recent win over Tayfun Ozcan and motivated to find success in his second challenge for the featherweight kickboxing crown. With a preexisting rivalry between the two fighters, Northcutt is excited to see how they showcase their respective development over the last 10 years.

“Man, that’s huge. You take someone that’s top one or top two in the world, and he’s going against the pound-for-pound champion. That’s a fight where literally anything can happen,” he said.
