ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 enjoys watching good fights as much as competing in them. The Thai superstar’s knockout victory over Tagir Khalilov at ONE Fight Night 12 on Friday, July 14, stood as his third finish in four fights so far this year, so he knows how to produce spectacular performances, and he believes two new arrivals to The Home of Martial Arts do too.

A rising star in Superlek’s compatriot Phetjeeja debuted on ONE’s main roster on the ONE Fight Night 12 card, and she made her presence immediately known by scoring a 26-second TKO win against former World Title challenger Lara Fernandez.
Superlek Kiatmoo9 predicted a title shot for his compatriot Phetjeeja soon
“The Kicking Machine” watched her outing intently, and he offered his thoughts on the 21-year-old striking phenom in a recent interview.“I don’t think it would be long for her [Phetjeeja] to be able to get a title shot,” he said. “She’s an aggressive fighter, and she is very well-rounded. I think she definitely has a chance.”
Superlek was also asked about another recent addition to ONE’s stable, one who has been linked to ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon. Fans have been clamoring to watch “The Iron Man” in action again, and Takeru Segawa could be the man he’ll meet next. A battle between the multiple-time K1 World Champion and Rodtang would surely be one of the most anticipated of the year, and “The Kicking Machine” says that he would be just as excited as any fight fan to see it go down.

“Takeru is #1 in Japan and #1 in kickboxing,” he said. “I can guarantee that it would be an entertaining fight. I predict that if it’s in Muay Thai rules or if it’s in kickboxing rules, I think Rodtang will still win. But I can guarantee it will really be entertaining.”
Superlek Kiatmoo9 was also willing to welcome Takeru Segawa if required
Apart from being the flyweight kickboxing king, Superlek is also the top contender in the flyweight Muay Thai division. As such, he is just as likely as “The Iron Man” to welcome the Japanese star to ONE’s global stage.

Asked if he would be interested to step in against him if called upon, the 27-year-old gamely accepted the challenge. “Of course, why not. I would like to face anyone who’s strong. Maybe even better than me to improve my skill,” Superlek said.
