Jihin Radzuan has seen the work that ONE Women’s MMA World Champion Stamp Fairtex has been putting in at the gym, and she’s confident her teammate will come out on top in her next outing.

On Friday, June 7, Stamp is set to defend the divisional strap for the first time against Denice “The Menace” Zamboanga in the main event of ONE 167 inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

Jihin Radzuan has been honing her skills at the Fairtex Training Center alongside the Thai megastar, and she commented on her preparation in a recent interview with Sportskeeda. “They used to be training partners. I believe Stamp knows her strengths and weaknesses. I believe every fighter have doubts in themselves, but it is how you carry yourself, and I believe Stamp carries herself with confidence very well,” Radzuan said.

Zamboanga once called Fairtex home, and she and Stamp developed a friendship while training together, so they will be relatively familiar with their respective skill set. Now part of T-Rex MMA, the Filipina is ranked second in ONE’s atomweight MMA division, with only top contender Ham Seo Hee ahead of her.

Zamboanga poses some threat to Stamp’s throne, however, it must be noted that their close relationship with each other might as a boon or a bane for either of them. Their clash would a monumental for either of them considering their closeness but only one has the right to claim victory.

Jihin Radzuan has trust on Stamp

Stamp Fairtex claimed the vacant World Title at the expense of Ham last September – after longtime queen Angela Lee announced her retirement from competition, and “The Menace’s” two-fight winning streak and position in the weight bracket made her the logical choice to challenge the new titleholder first.
While Radzuan is far from discounting Zamboanga, she believes that Stamp will play to her strengths when they square off at ONE 167 and will be able to take the win no matter where the fight goes.

“This is very difficult to predict. Both fighters are strong in their own way. Based on Stamp’s previous fight, she knocked people out with her striking. So, I predict she’s looking for a knockout. We all know that she’s very strong in her striking. I see this fight is going to be a striking exchange. And if it’s going to the ground, she would finish it with ground-and-pound.” she said.

Their clash is set to take place on June 7. Do you believe Stamp Fairtex would successfully defend her title? or will she be defeated by her friend? State your thoughts in the comments below.
