Stamp Fairtex is currently riding high over his last victory against Jihin Radzuan at ONE on Prime Video 2 in September this year. And now, she is seated atop the women’s atomweight rankings.
Fairtex started off her career with Muay Thai and now, looks to go back to her roots in the following year. That is correct. The 25-year-old revealed her big plans for 2023, which includes competing in Muay Thai, which is something she feels she owes to her fans. Plus, she is still not over her loss against the “Unstoppable” Angela Lee. In her tenure with ONE Championship, not many have been able to handle the wrath of Fairtex, but Lee proved to be quite a handful for her. And with the new year, she feels compelled to clear the dues off.

Stamp Fairtex seeks Chatri Sityodtong’s approval

Standing tall and proud on top of the women’s atomweight division, Stamp Fairtex is gearing up for her second go in the division early next year. Fairtex happens to be the first such fighter in the promotion who acquired two distinctive titles in her first two bouts upon her debut. And she has her eyes set to create history again.

On January 13, she will take on the striking legend and the seven-time world champion, Anissa Meksen. But she also plans to shuffle in the fight divisions, too, and jump back into Muay Thai.

In her recent interview, she said, “Later, I think I’ll find a way back to fight in Muay Thai for fans who miss me. I hope that Chatri would allow me to come back to Muay Thai sometime next year.”

Along with a return to Muay Thai, the 25-year-old also stated that she is not done with Angela Lee yet. There’s some unfinished business she intends to clear up in the coming year.

Fairtex aims for revenge against Angela Lee

The Thai-based fighter suffered her second defeat in ONE Championship against the atomweight world champion, Angela Lee. However, Fairtex believes that was a teaching moment and is confident she will run into her again soon. This time, better prepared.

“Although I lost, I didn’t regret sharing the Circle with her… I learned a great lesson from that fight. It was a big, good test for me,” said Stamp Fairtex.

She continues to add that she will concentrate on enhancing her ground game before she squares off against Lee for the second time.
