The mega fight between two billionaires is steadily gaining traction, and the largest martial arts organization in the world is willing to provide the stage to make it a reality.

Recently, Tesla founder Elon Musk claimed that his potential MMA fight with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg was going to be streamed live via X (formerly Twitter) and backed by their respective foundations instead of globally recognized martial arts organizations handling the execution.

However, Zuckerberg quickly shot this down, saying he preferred that a top organization like ONE Championship host the event. Naturally, this makes more sense in terms of production value and the number of viewers they could attract to the charity-focused event. In response, ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong put his hand up and offered to host the Zuck vs. Musk showdown.

The combat sports world would undoubtedly eat up a megafight of this caliber, and Sityodtong even offered to do a co-promoted event with the UFC, with a Chatri vs. Dana [White] co-main event. “For sure, someone is going to sleep in this fight,” he told the South China Morning Post in a recent interview. “As I have always said, I am ready to do ‘ONE versus UFC’ anytime.”

“We could do a co-promotion to make it truly the biggest fighting event in history. My vote would be ONE vs. UFC as main card, me vs Dana [White, UFC president] as co-main, and you [Zuckerberg] vs. Elon as main event.”  As for making his prediction on what has the potential to be the biggest combat sports fight in history, Sityodtong believes it’s a huge mismatch between Zuckerberg and Musk.

Chatri Sityodtong impressed with Mark Zuckerberg

Sityodtong, a lifelong martial arts practitioner, is no stranger to Zuckerberg’s proficiency in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The pair trained together recently, which gave the ONE head honcho a good grasp of the 39-year-old Meta founder’s fighting capabilities. While he recognizes that Musk is significantly bigger and taller, Sityodtong says Zuckerberg’s technique and conditioning could easily hurdle those obstacles to a victory.

“For sure, Elon has the size and strength advantage in this fight. However, there is a wide disparity in skill level and fitness level,” the ONE boss added. “I have also trained with Mark. He invited me to train together at his house when I was in the U.S. earlier this year. As a Renzo Gracie brown belt, who trains hard five to six times a week, I was very impressed.” “Even though Mark is only two years into his journey as a martial artist, his progress has been much faster because he trains in a very serious, world-class training environment under professor Dave Camarillo.”
