Former Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Alaverdi Ramazanov returns to the ring after a six-month absence. He’s set to face Petchtanong Petchfergus in a bantamweight kickboxing bout at ONE Friday Fights 68: Prajanchai vs. Di Bella, happening at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok on June 28th.

Known for his aggressive fighting style, Alaverdi Ramazanov seemed confident about victory. This was evident when he threw an elbow at his last opponent, Alessandro Sara, at ONE Friday Fights 31 last September, and won via TKO.

However, after Jonathan Haggerty defeated Fabricio Andrade, Alaverdi Ramazanov surprisingly climbed into the ring to confront Haggerty, which resulted in a ban by ONE Championship. Now, after serving a six-month suspension for his actions, Ramazanov is back in action, showcasing his powerful elbows in a recent ONE Championship Instagram reel.

The reel features Alaverdi “Babyface Killer” Ramazanov, looking calm and composed, then effortlessly splitting a coconut with his elbow. It also cuts to a clip of him bloodying Alessandro Sara’s face in their September 2023 fight. The caption reads: “Cracking coconuts, crushing opponents! O Can Alaverdi Ramazanov pick up the win against Petchtanong at ONE Friday Fights 68?” with additional tags: “coconuts crack under Ramazanov’s elbow😦” and for the Sara clip, “So do his opponents 😖”

More fans reacted to the reel in a variety of ways. Some simply approved, leaving comments like, “This is great!” Others expressed their awe with a surprised “Oowwweeeee!” One particularly enthusiastic fan, impressed by Alaverdi Ramazanov’s power, even envisioned fighters using kicks to take down banana trees, commenting, “That’s unreal. What a way to train?! Makes me think of fighters cutting down banana trees with their kicks.”

To cap it all off, a final fan even dubbed the move “Skull Crusher,” which isn’t entirely off the mark considering Ramazanov’s past performance. Now, the question remains: can Alaverdi Ramazanov replicate his coconut-crushing feat against his upcoming opponent, former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Petchtanong Petchfergus, in their upcoming non-title kickboxing fight?
