In an interview, Todd said, “I do think Anissa is one of the top-level fighters and I do believe that she brings up the level of competition in the division, which is exactly what we want. Because that will raise the whole level competition of the whole, you know, the whole weight group and it only makes us better. So, I think she’s a good addition to the ONE roster.”
Further addressing the rumors of ducking Meksen, Todd said, “I mean, I can’t control what other people say or what other people think. I can only control what I do and my own actions and my own thoughts. So, I mean that’s that.”
When asked if that meant would she fight Meksen, ‘JT’ replied, “Yes, yes, of course, of course. Like I said, I think she brings up the level of competition. That’s what we want for ONE Championship. We want to fight the best, be the best.”
Todd was further asked if she would defend her interim title against Meksen if she beats Lara Fernandez. ‘JT’ said, “Yeah, in either sport.”
A fight between Janet Todd and Anissa Meksen would thoroughly entertain the fans. While Todd spoke about this new inclusion in the ONE Championship roster, she also addressed her upcoming championship bout.
