Alyse “Lil’ Savage” Anderson isn’t fazed by what her upcoming rival, Stamp Fairtex, will bring to the table in their atomweight tie at ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III on May 5. Instead, it has motivated her to work even harder to cause an upset against the Thai superstar.

Anderson will be making only her third appearance in the Circle when she meets Stamp at 1stBank Center in Denver, Colorado, and because of that, she understands why she has been labeled the underdog against the division’s top-ranked contender.

But she also knows moments like this can make a fighter’s career, so she didn’t think twice when presented with a chance to take Stamp on. Anderson said, “I was like, well if I am going to fight here, I want to fight the best. And what better way to fight her than in ONE’s debut in the U.S.?”

“Because I knew eventually, we would probably fight and meet up in the division. Stamp will undeniably be the Michigan native’s biggest test in the Circle so far.”

The former two-sport ONE World Champion’s grappling game has improved immensely over the last few years, and she’s been able to add it to her dangerous striking arsenal to score wins against some of the best atomweights in the stacked division.
