September 30: Three ONE Championship Stars to Watch at ONE on Prime Video 2

This Friday, September 30, ONE Championship will return to Singapore Indoor Stadium for its second offering on Prime Video.

Featuring a trio of World Title bouts in three different combat sports, the blockbuster card will showcase a number of the promotion’s biggest and brightest stars, including international fan favorites, established World Champions, and true martial arts phenoms.

With that in mind, here are three stars to watch at ONE on Prime Video 2.

Angela Lee

Longtime atomweight queen “Unstoppable” Angela Lee will try, for the second time, to capture Xiong Jing Nan’s ONE Women’s Strawweight World Title, thus completing one of the most thrilling and dramatic trilogies in the history of women’s MMA.

A dangerous BJJ specialist with eight submission wins on her MMA record, Lee comes into this fight not only for bragging rights in her 1-1 rivalry with Xiong, but also to become the first woman to hold ONE World Title gold across two divisions.

And if the pair’s first two encounters were any indication, fans can expect an ultra-competitive war in their highly anticipated rubber match.

Superbon Singha Mawynn

Before the main event, primetime viewers will be treated to Superbon Singha Mawynn’s beautifully destructive yet supremely technical striking. The current ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion will defend his belt against Dutch-Turkish sensation Tayfun Ozcan.

Riding one of the best winning streaks in the history of professional kickboxing, Superbon seems poised to solidify his status as a pound-for-pound great with another World Title defense.

Fans should watch out for Superbon’s devastating, world-famous head kick. After all, the champion owns knockout wins with both left and right leg head kicks.

And should Superbon win, he could potentially call out ONE Featherweight World Champion Tang Kai, the Chinese MMA fighter who has been starting a war of words with the Thai megastar.

Mikey Musumeci

Always cheerful and unassuming, it would be easy to forget that 26-year-old Mikey Musumeci is one of the most decorated American BJJ competitors of all time.

The man known as “Darth Rigatoni” will look to add to his already deep trophy cabinet when he takes on longtime rival Cleber Sousa for the inaugural ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Championship.

A true technical wizard and innovator, Musumeci has a computer-like mind for jiu-jitsu and an offensively focused, submission-oriented game that produces exciting action each time he competes.

That game was on full display when he dominated and submitted Japanese MMA legend Masakazu Imanari at ONE 156 this past April.
