They will compete in the semi-final round of the Flyweight Muay Thai Grand Prix on August 26 in the U.S. prime time. A rematch for the MMA ONE flyweight championship between Adriano Moraes and Demetrious Johnson will headline the show.

The Muay Thai Flyweight world champion, Rodtang Jitmuangnon, last fought at ONE 157 against Jacob Smith and got a definitive victory. It was also part of the Flyweight Muay Thai Grand Prix.
Likewise, his counterpart also fought at ONE 157 and defeated Amir Naseri via a unanimous decision. ‘The Baby Face Killer‘ is 2-2 in ONE Championship. His latest win came after a two-year hiatus.

Prior to ONE 157, the Thai athlete, Jitmuangnon, competed in a special rule contest against 12-time MMA world champion Demetrious Johnson. He lost the bout in the second round (MMA round) after giving a tough time to ‘Mighty Mouse‘ in the first round (Muay Thai round).

The Cyprus-born athlete, Michael, confirmed the bout on his social media handle. Besides, he also reacted to facing a legend like ‘The Iron Man‘ and wrote, “Small town Kid, Big city dreams,” before capping off his post with bout details.
Rodtang Jitmuangnon had a message for Tenshin Nasukawa
‘The Iron Man’ remembered his old foe, Tenshin Nasukawa, in a recent post on his Instagram account. Their rivalry dates back to when they met at the Rise 125 on June 17, 2018. There, the Japanese fighter defeated the Jitmuangnon Gym standout via a unanimous decision.

The 24-year-old wrote, “@tenshin.nasukawa how can you retire since there is still no real closure between us??”
This was not the first time Rodtang Jitmuangnon went after Tenshin Nasukawa for a rematch. Even earlier, he had offered to face the Japanese fighter for one last time.

Apart from Nasukawa, in the same post, the Muay Thai world champion showed interest in facing Takeru. Both bouts could be a barn burner. But before these, the Thailand-based athlete has Savvas Michael to worry about on August 26.
