Recently, ‘The Dutch Knight’ talked to EssentiallySports’ Arunaditya Aima and talked about his ONE X performance, his upcoming fights & more.

During their discussion, when asked about what facet of Galvao’s game surprised him, the Dutch fighter offered, “Anytime I got close to taking him down, he pulled guard. I really didn’t expect him to pull guard at all.”

The Brazilian submission artist showed how much confidence he has in his skills as he kept going to the ground by pulling guard.

“So, when I got an under hook, or when I got like close to him, he sat down. And then it was very hard to pass his guard, which was unfortunate. But yeah, it is what it is.”

Though the pace of the bout was excellent & both fighters were aggressive in their approach, there was no submission in the bout.

After the hard-fought bout, fans witnessed a captivating moment. The double World Champion invited the Jiujitsu ace to come to his forte. As earlier, he showed he could hang with the Brazilian in his yard.

And when the ONE Welterweight champion stepped up to challenge the Combat Brothers fighter, he obliterated his opposition with a definitive performance at ONE Championship: Full Circle.

Whereas, Galvao has not fought in an MMA bout for the past decade. Galvao holds a decent 5-2 record in MMA. However, the champion suggested, “I don’t see that fight happening anytime soon.

The 31-year-old is looking at Vitaly Bigdash as his next opponent. Bigdash defeated Aung La N Sung in his last outing to end an epic trilogy.
