ONE Fight Night 14 is shaping up to be a memorable card filled with some the best female fighters in the world today. The event is set to be headlined by a spectacular showdown between Stamp Fairtex and Ham Seo Hee for the ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight World Title – but three recent additions to the lineup will bolster that much-anticipated affair.

Two World Title bouts and an innovative striking matchup will make the promotion’s return to Singapore one to remember on Friday, September 29. ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Smilla Sundell will figure in her first World Title defense when she rematches Jackie Buntan in the evening’s co-main event.

Jackie Buntan and Danielle Kelly will look to get the better of their champion opponents

The pair first met at ONE 156 in April 2022, with most fans cheering for the more familiar Buntan that evening. However, it was the young Swedish striker who stole the show, as she beat down her American rival over five dominant rounds. Buntan has since bounced back from that loss, scoring back-to-back wins against Amber Kitchen and Diandra Martin, respectively, with the latter serving as her first finish in ONE

She expressed her desire to challenge for a kickboxing World Title after her most recent victory, but the opportunity to score some revenge on Sundell will no doubt be a welcome alternative. Meanwhile, Sundell took the first step into the kickboxing realm in ONE in her latest outing in May, scoring a unanimous decision win over promotional debutant Milana Bjelogric. She will look to prove that she is still the queen of her division when she steps into action against Buntan once again at ONE Fight Night 14.

Another match to watch on the rapidly evolving card will be the inaugural ONE Atomweight Submission Grappling World Title bout between Danielle Kelly and Jessa Khan. Kelly has remained undefeated since joining ONE last year, and she has clamored for a shot at gold across her three thrilling performances. She already named Khan as one of the opponents she would like to face for the prestigious belt if it was ever to be introduced, and she gets her wish on September 29.

Khan is a IBJJF World Champion who signed with Singapore-based organization last year. Though she’ll be making her promotional debut in her upcoming World Title tussle, the Cambodian star is familiar with Kelly, having beaten her once before. Their rematch will have much more on the line, however, so it will be interesting to see how these two grappling stars respond to the pressure.

Nat Jaroonsak will also look to get back in the winning books

Finally, an innovative striking-only showdown will feature two heavy hitters from different sports. ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion Xiong Jing Nan and Muay Thai phenom Nat “Wondergirl” Jaroonsak will compete in a special rules striking contest that is guaranteed to be a barnburner.

“The Panda” is undefeated in the division over which she reigns, and one of the reasons is her deadly hands. Honed by her experience in boxing for China’s national team, Xiong has defeated every opponent that has dared to step in front of her in strawweight mixed martial arts.

For her part, “Wondergirl” is an accomplished Muay Thai striker at just 24 years old. She already has 35 wins under her belt in the sport, and she even won in her MMA debut last year via first-round submission. She clearly knows how to fight, and her skills will certainly be tested at ONE Fight Night 14. For their matchup, Xiong and Jaroonsak will don 4-ounce MMA gloves, but they are only allowed to throw punches. That means kicks, knees, and elbows are prohibited.

If there isn’t a knockout or a stoppage, the bout will go to the scorecards. Judging and scoring will mirror the Global Muay Thai and Kickboxing Rule Sets, using the 10-point-must system.
