ONE Championship Fighters and Fans Shower Wishes on Rodtang After Major Life Milestone

Rodtang Jitmuangnon started training in Muay Thai at the tender age of 8 years. No wonder he holds an insane 270 professional wins record. Rodtang is an irreplaceable figure in the ONE Championships. The Thai draws massive crowds with his unique aggressive style of fighting. He has also been a force in ONE’s Muay Thai and kickboxing divisions, which very few have been able to overcome.

‘The Iron Man’ last took the circle on 14 January 2023 at the ONE Fight night 6: Superbon vs Allazov against the Chinese, Jiduo Yibu. He also managed to get the better of his opponent via a unanimous decision. Following his win, Rodtang decide to become a monk and also joined a monastery. But recently, he gave a pleasant surprise to his fans. ONE Championship shared the video of Rodtang’s marriage on their Instagram profile, which garnered massive reactions from the followers.

Fans flooded the comments section with wishes for Rodtang Jitmuangnon

ONE Championship’s Instagram post showcased a short clip from Rodtang’s marriage ceremony along with his wife. The caption to their post read, “Love is in the air. Congratulations to Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Aida Looksaikongdin!  @rodtang_jimungnon”

Rodtang and Stamp Fairtex once used to be the most noted couple of ONE Championships. But things didn’t work out their way, and the relationship fell apart. Rodtang’s wife, Aida Looksaikongdin, was also a Muay Thai fighter, although she is way less popular than her husband. She is currently signed to WMO, where she held the #6 position in the women’s Flyweight division.

Followers of ONE Championship poured out their heartfelt greetings for their beloved Flyweight Muay Thai world champion in the comments section of their Instagram post showcasing Rodtang. A few such comments read:

• “Congrats champion”
• “Congratulations” from the noted ONE MMA star, Brandon Vera
• “So weird to see Rodtang NOT look menacing. Congrats Champ”

While one fan presented a funny comment as he wrote, “I’m sure no one dares to tease that woman anymore”.

A lot of fans were also surprised by the attire of Rodtang Jitmuangnon

Most fans knew that Rodtang was a Buddhist by religion. But in ONE Championship’s Instagram post, the attire dawned by Rodtang was like one that Muslims would wear for marriages. While a few days ago, Rodtang shaved off his head to become a monk, the fans simply couldn’t relate to why was he dawning an attire worn mostly by Muslims.

It was then clarified by one of his fans that Rodtang had converted to Islam since his wife was a Muslim. There were also multiple comments which congratulated him on becoming a Muslim and his marriage as well. Some such comments read:

• “Alhamdullilah convert islam”
• “Welcome to Islam, Rodtang”
• “Alhamdulillah Congrats Champ!”
