History will be made at ONE Fight Night 15, as a new two-sport ONE World Champion will be crowned. ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Jonathan Haggerty will meet the division’s MMA king Fabricio Andrade for the vacant ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title on the rapidly growing card, which is set to go down on October 6.

Former titleholder Petchtanong Petchfergus tested positive for a banned substance during an off-competition drug test, and he was stripped of the belt as a result. In the hopes of keeping the stacked weight class active, ONE announced the intriguing meeting between Andrade and Haggerty in an Instagram post this week.

“👑 CHAMP vs CHAMP 👑 A ✨NEW ✨ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion will be crowned on October 6 as our Muay Thai and MMA kings go to war at ONE Fight Night 15 on Prime Video! ⚔️,” the Singapore-based promotion wrote. While both men have yet to defend their World Titles, they have been eager to get back in action as soon as possible. And the opportunity to become a two-sport titleholder was something neither man could turn down.

Andrade claimed the bantamweight MMA crown by demolishing John Lineker in their heated rematch at ONE Fight Night 7 this past February. The Brazilian star comes from a striking background, and he has utilized his skill set to great success in the all-encompassing sport, claiming six wins under the ONE banner.
