Takeru said, “They are both strong. So, I am not sure who wins, But I want a rematch with Superlek. So, I don’t want him to lose.” He is preparing himself for his upcoming clash against the Black Panther at ONE Friday Fights 81. However, he is desperate to settle his score against Superlek. Before his move to the ONE Championship, Takeru Segawa became a three-division Kickboxing World Champion in K-1. He defeated some of the best athletes which the promotion had to offer to him. However, his move to the ONE Championship did not start on a winning note. The Japanese icon challenged ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 in his promotional debut at ONE 165 in Tokyo. With the home crowd in support of their star, Superlek had to dig deep to win the fight, but once again proved his class.

Both fighters displayed outstanding striking and conditioning, forcing the fight to go the full distance. However, it was the champion, Superlek, whose consistent control and damaging low kicks helped him win the fight. Takeru’s short burst of venom did impress the fans, but was ultimately not enough to capture the title. However, he will now be desperate to register his first victory at ONE Championship when he takes on the Black Panther next.
In the meantime, ‘The Kicking Machine’ will be looking to capture his second World Title if he wins his 11th consecutive victory. However, he will be up for a tough time as he will be up against the two-sport world champion, Jonathan Haggerty. The pair has a bit of history between them, but ‘The General’ is prepared to settle the score this time round.

However, he also made it clear that he would be coming for a knockout victory and said, “I’d like to win by knockout.”
