ONE Championship star Stamp Fairtex knows there is much at stake when she steps into action against Malaysian warrior Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan at ONE on Prime Video 2 this Friday, September 30.

The Thai dynamo is concerned that the second defeat in a row could see her removed from the top-ranked spot in ONE’s atomweight division, and that has fired her up for her upcoming showdown that will be broadcast live in U.S. primetime.
“Yes, victory means a lot to me in this fight. If she beats me, she may take away the #1 position from me,” Stamp said.
“Of course, I won’t let her do that. I’ve been training so hard to maintain my #1 position so that I could challenge Angela Lee again.”

In her most recent outing in the Circle, the 24-year-old tapped to the divisional queen “Unstoppable” Angela Lee’s rear-naked choke in the second round of their World Title bout at ONE X in March.
It was her first loss in 14 months, and Stamp has used it to work on her weaknesses leading up to her return to action.
Fairtex is aware of Jihin Radzuan’s strengths
Like Lee, Jihin can be a problem on the canvas. “Shadow Cat’s” grappling game has tremendously improved, and it has seen her take out the likes of Mei “V.V” Yamaguchi and Itsuki “Android 18” Hirata.
Stamp will try her best to keep the match in her court and implement her dangerous hands and legs. If she succeeds, she will be able to capitalize every time an opportunity presents itself.
“Her strengths are wrestling and ground game. She is quite good at striking, but I think this is her weakness as well because if we go trade with each other, I believe I have more experience in striking than her,” the Fairtex Gym fighter said.
“I [would rather not say] much right now. Let’s test [and see who’s striking is better] in the Circle. Let’s see who is faster and more accurate.”
Stamp Fairtex aims for a rematch with Angela Lee
A victory for Stamp in Singapore on Friday should see her hold onto her top spot in the stacked division, meaning a rematch with Lee in the near future will remain an option.

That said, the Pattaya resident wants to bide her time before shooting for the World Title again. She would rather compete on a couple more occasions, improve her all-around arsenal, and be better prepared the next time she crosses paths with “Unstoppable”.

“I think I should pass another two or three more fights. I’d like to ensure that I become strong and ready enough to make the World Title rematch with Angela,” Stamp admitted.
